    Hi,

I followed the instructions and selected another theme to be shown only to admins.
But the widgets that were in custom sidebars of the active theme disappear even for the logged out users. This makes the plugin unusable. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

    Thanks,

    Robert

    Hi Robert,

It could be a bug, or it could just be that your theme is incompatible.

Are you seeing any error messages or debug log entries?

Hi Robert, I haven’t heard back from you about this ticket, so gonna go ahead and mark it as resolved. Feel free to post again if I may be of service, thank you.

    Hey Jeff!

Thanks for the awesome plugin. I needed this bad and am so glad I found it. I’m having the same issue working with a clients previous theme. Looks like it was custom created back in 2010/11. Also, I’m looking to work with a pro/ paid theme. Any idea how to resolve this so I can customize the pro theme while the custom theme sits in-front?

Thanks for all your help with this and all you do for the WP community.

    Best,
    KT

    Hey KT,

Yes absolutely, Theme Switcha should enable you to work on the theme template of the new theme, while all regular users continue using the old theme. Take a look and read through the instructions on the plugin home page (under the Installation tab) for complete details, etc.
