Widgets on Storefront Homepage missing

    Hi there, I just installed Woocommerce Storefront theme and the homepage widgets are missing. I have changed themes back to default and back again as suggested by others without success. I have disabled plugins and just had woocommerce and storefront activated and still no widgets on the homepage. In the customizer they are greyed out, I have deleted the widgets and added them again and they still don’t appear on the homepage. I have re-installed WordPress and this still does not cure the problem, the theme is the latest version, all plugins are up to date.

  • Just to make sure – the Storefront Homepage isn’t “widget” based. Instead they’re formed of “Storefront Homepage Sections”.

    In order for these sections to work, and to show up, you’ll need to make sure of the following:

    • Set a static page to be used as your home page under **Settings > Reading > Front page displays**;
    • Set this static page to use the “Homepage” page template;
    • Ensure that this static page is **not** the same page as the base SHOP page set under **WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Displays**

    Hi there I had to delete the theme and restore a backup which was time consuming as the theme broke my website. When I deleted the theme the widgets were also missing from my original website too, why would storefront do that?

    I have storefront installed on their websites for almost two years and never had the same problem,

    I installed the theme went to customer Liser then added the widgets, it was after that I had the problems

    Make sure in your selected home page change the template from default to Homepage
