Widgets removal causes wp footer display issue on Logs page

It seems that due to the removal of the old style widgets the WordPress footer is no longer being pushed to the bottom of the Logs page.
This results in the WordPress footer being displayed on top of the log records as soon as a certain number of log records get displayed.
