• Good Evening,

Trying to set up shortcodes using product categories.
I noticed that if you use [product_categories] all the product categories show on the page that has the shortcode inserted.

I’ve tried [product_category] to get an individual category to show, rather than having them all show, but can’t seem to get it to work.
    Not sure what I’m missing?

E.G: One of our categories is “Lighting”
Have tried various things like [product_category_lighting] [product_category=lighting]
How would we use the product category shortcode to show this?

Any advise would be really appreciated?

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew

  • Howdy ??

Have you tried passing a category attribute with a value, e.g. [product_category category="lighting"]

    Hope that helps.

    Good Afternoon,

    Many thanks for your help!

    That works!

The only thing is this shows all the products in a grid view.

What I was thinking about doing was putting the shortcodes for all the sub categories, but I’d like to be able to have them in a text description, e.g@

    Lighting
    LED
    Commercial

so that when you click on the relevent text description, the grid view of product then opens.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated!

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew
