Widget/Sidebar, Loading… Loading… Loading… Blank Site

    Tried to ad something to the widget bar, now it’s stuck “loading” forever and now I can’t “delete” the widget. The whole Sidebar has the loading sign, and the site shows up blank when I look at the user front end.

    What do I do?

    OK – what was in the text widget?

    I had links to Twitter and Facebook. Tried to drag and drop, stuck on loading. Can’t delete. Can drag and drop into other areas, but it doesn’t stop it.

    Are the Twitter and Facebook links via a plugin/widget?

    I fixed it myself by going into phpmyadmin and deleting the “widget_text” from the wp_options.

    I guess that removes the whole capability of using it.

    Now when I put in a text widget, it messes up my footer widget and brings it up to the sidebar.

    That sounds as if you have some markup validation problems in your theme.
