After installing Swift and running the wizard my site is 10 time faster than it was. Great.
Here’s the issue: When I go to login mysite/wp-admin after filling in my login stuff I get an error:

    500 Internal Server Error
    The page cannot be displayed
    Return to

      home page

Then when I hit the return to home page link it returns me to my home page but I am now logged in!

I am using Divi as a theme, and my plugins are pretty basic.

I am a bit concerned. Any suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

  • It could be that the warmup table is broken, you should update to latest Swift’s version (if you are using an earlier version) or if you are using the latest version you should 1st disable Swift, don’t keep warmup table and reactivate it. Hope this helps.

    Thanks for the suggestion.
I’ll give it a try later today.

I tried, as you suggested, disabling Swift, not checking the keep Warmup tables button. And after reactivating Swift I still have the issue. Dang!
    Thanks again for the suggestion.

You should check the error.log and see what is written there. If you e.g. are on shared hosting you can find it through your cPanel.

    hi Ivica,

I do have cPanel access. I own a reseller account so I have access to all the sites and I own or operate all of them.

    Using my limited knowledge…

I found the error.log file, and the message was:
Internal server error 500, No response from subprocess ( (cpanel)): The subprocess reported error number 72,057,594,037,927,935 when it ended. The process dumped a core file.

    Mean anything to you?

    Thanks again for your help,

It seems to be a timeout. May proxy timeout. Try to check out that possibility.

    Thanks.

I think I’m going to cobble together an email explaining all this and send it to my ISP. They’ve been really good helping me with issues in the past.

Thanks for all your help. If I get a solution I’ll post it here.
