I’ve been really struggling since the last update. When I attempted to make changes to the Author Services page, I’m now encountering really strange behavior.
1: If I change the color of a font, I can’t change it back or even to another font. This is happening on any block I attempt to change. I literally have to copy the text into a word document, change the color to what I think I would like it to be on the page, remove the block, and create a new block to paste the text into.
2: My heading which was always in the center became left justified, and would not correct no matter how hard i tried to get it to center. Once again, I had to copy the text, delete the block, create a new block, and paste it back hoping I would remember all of it’s settings. Even after making the changes (including the color change), the color would not appear correctly in the preview.
3: Even though I have moved the heading back to the top of the page, the image below it appears above it.
4: The image (bookcase) is now appearing twice in different sizes with the heading that should be at the top between the two.

I activated the twenty twenty-one theme to see if these problems occurred using that theme, and it didn’t. Thus the problem is with Virtue.

Furthermore, why is any topic I create being considered spam???? This makes absolutely no since to me considering I’ve posted in the past. It is proving quite offensive to me.

    Hi @nobuhlesibusiso,
Apologies for the delay! And sorry your topics were being marked as spam. I unfortunately don’t hold control over that.
I’m not able to replicate your issues. Is this only happening with the advanced heading block? What version of Kadence Blocks are you running? And what version of Virtue?

    Kindly,
    Hannah

    Hi there, Hannah.

Please kindly watch this video that I created just so that you can see me recreate the issue. I’ve noted everything that you can watch for in the description. I don’t think the issue is Kadence blocks only because if I can recall, I think I deactivated those blocks to see what would happen. Even when I attempted to use different headings/paragraphs, the issues kept occurring. I tries several types of headings, but to no avail.

Somehow I managed to get the heading to recenter, so I think I can x that one off the list. However, I don’t recall what I did to fix it.

The video shows how the pic is appearing twice. Even when I deleted the block, then reinserted the image, the live outcome is still the same.

I’m running Kadence Blocks version 2.1.15. This seems to be the most up-to-date version.

Again, for some reason, this problem isn’t occurring in the twenty-twenty one theme, so I’m at a bit of a loss here.

    Hello,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having this issue.

I can see you have the Gutenberg plugin installed and activated – please note that WordPress has the block builder known as Gutenberg built-in. When you have the plugin named Gutenberg active on your website, it adds experimental features that will break many things on your website. The Gutenberg plugin is primarily for plugin/theme developers, not general users. For this reason, kindly deactivate that plugin.

Another thing that I can see is you’re using multiple block plugins that add additional blocks to be used on Gutenberg. Kindly try deactivating all of those and see if the issues will persist.

Once all the plugins were deactivated and the issues do not happen anymore, re-activate the plugins one by one and test the issue again after each re-activation so you can pinpoint which one is causing the issue.

    Kind Regards,
    Karla

    Hi there.

I deactivated all the Gutenberg-related plugins and was prompted to reinstall Kadence. That solved my font-color issue. Thank you. My editor is now back the way I’m used to as well, so for that, I’m well pleased. As for the duplicate pic, that’s still happening when I preview or go live to the Author Services page. One down, and one to go.

    Hey,
From your edit page under Post Options you can set the Head Content to none. Or you can remove the image block from the top of your page.
    Hope that helps!

    Kindly,
    Hannah

This is not a post. It is a page, and the only page options are default, contained, and full-width; none of which removes the pic from the live page. If I were to delete the image, then the heading which should be above the photo appears below the photo instead.

    Hey,
It looks like you’re using a feature page template. If you want to remove the first image just change the page template to default.

    Kindly,
    Hannah

That did the trick. I don’t know how that happened as I’ve never changed templates before.

    Thank you

    Strange. Glad that resolved!
