• Is there any way I could insert a Wikipedia article summary into my archives.php so that it pulls whatever tag is being called and outputs a short summary on the same tag keyword from Wikipedia? There’s one plugin that does exactly this called WikiBox, but it no longer seems to work. Anybody have any suggestions?

  • I’m looking for the same thing. Tried with the Wiki Embed Plugin, but it pulls the whole article. But I only want a summary or the first section of an article.

There is a way to maybe remove the other parts of the content
to do that you can use the remove attribute for example
[wikiembed url=”https://” remove=’.infobox’] the remove attribute takes any css class, and removed from the DOM. Any Feedback on the plugin is welcome.

Is it possible to get automatical output based on tags used in a post? I mean, each individual post gets automatically its wiki summaries based on the tages used. It must be summaries only (up to maximum 250 words, better 100-150 words), it should be in neat “boxes” between boxes should be at least two br-tags or one <p>-tag. Would be great if I just need to code to single.php so rest is automatically without adding shortcode in the post / page.

    Hi,

I think it would be really nice to be able to have only a summary as object81 said.

    Cheers!
