Wildcard folder? Add Cpanel subdomains for ssl?

    Was there ever a wildcard folder in public? My subs seem to be missing.

    Secondly, what happens if a sub is added to actual subdomains in cpanel? So far I’m getting index pg and not my wp build at all. Nor can I access the admin panel to see if everything is there. Getting a 404 error.

    The best way to find a solution for this is to contact your host.
    While most hosts allow Let’s Encrypt / AutoSSL, which means that you can easily install SSL certificates on any of your domains / subdomains, not all hosts allow for this.
    This is outside of the scope of WordPress.

    Is there a server-side folder showing the subs and can they be added to the cpanel’s subdomains module in addition to the wildcard one..

    Can sub folders be used for subdomains or is that only for subdirectories?
