Are wildcards currently allowed in the “List of comma separated IP addresses to ignore” Live Traffic option?

For example, can I add “123.123.123.*”?

I ask because my ISP recently changed from using static to dynamic IPs and I’d rather than not have to add 255 separate IPs to that list.

If it is not currently allowed, please consider this a “feature request” to add the ability to do so.

    Hi Paul,

Currently you can’t add wildcards to the List of comma separated IP addresses to ignore option. You may find the Live Traffic option Don’t log signed-in users with publishing access suitable for your needs if you haven’t enabled that option yet.

Please let me know if the other option I mentioned is suitable for your needs. If not can you explain why please.

    Thank you.

I’m aware of that other option.

I should note that my use of Live Traffic may be different from that of others/the intended purpose. I don’t generally use Live Traffic to see what’s happening on my sites “right now”. Rather, I view Live Traffic once a day to look for suspicious accesses that were not block by the WAF and that maybe should be manually blocked.

I often hit the front-end of sites I manage when I’m not logged in, hence, even with Don’t log signed-in users with publishing access turned on
many of my hits would still be shown in Live Traffic. Of course, seeing my hits in Live Traffic is not bad, but it’s easier to quickly scan things if I don’t have to see them.

I will take this back to the team as a feature request for you.
