Will a customized wordpress them cause me problems on update

  • Hi, i have had someone design me a website. They have not used a theme and I have been told by someone this will cause me problems. They have said, when the updates come then the plugins i am using will not be compatible with my site and i should use a downloaded them. Can anyone let me know if this is correct

    There isn’t an absolute answer on this. It depends on how your theme was built. Have you talked to your developers?

    Did the person that you’re referring to as “They have said” look into your custom theme? They* can only make that statement if they’re* familiar with your website’s code
