Will a woocommerce store hurt my seo blog rankings?

  • Hello,

    I have a blog with growing traffic with most of my posts being in the 1st and 2nd page on google for relevant keywords

    The way I want to monetize it is by adding a store for related products

    will it hurt my blog posts SEO ranking if I add a store?

    and vice versa – If I have a good amount of traffic on my blog, will the store product listings be ranked higher on google than listings in a new store, like my blog posts? and what about google shopping?

    Please let me know.

  • I have been using WooCommerce for a couple of years. From my experience, simply creating a WooCommerce store will not cause an issue with your SEO ranking. It only depends on whether your store or your blog posts have higher traffic. Your posts will still continue to display on search engines such as Google, but may come a level higher than your posts.
