If I just add the same code from one theme to a new theme, the blocks will show up on the new theme without having to recreate anything, right? Just like ACF?

Unfortunately not –?you would need to export the blocks and re-import them on the new site (this is a Pro feature right now).

Alternatively, you could use a migration plugin to migrate the “Block” post type to the new site.

Blocks in Block Lab are a combination of data stored in the database, and template files stored on the server, just like ACF.

You really just have to move the blocks folder into the new theme, right? The rest is in the database, isn’t it?

Correct. The template files in your “blocks” folder need to be moved to the new theme –?the rest is in the database.
