    Hello,

I have a question regarding the functionality of the Broken Link Checker plugin. If a link is marked as broken in a post after a scan, and I proceed to fix the link without making any other changes to the post, will the plugin automatically remove the class="broken_link" attribute after a certain period of time? Or do I need to take additional steps to update the post or rescan it?

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

    Best regards,
    BaGRoS

    Hi

I hope you are doing well today.

In Local version of BLC you can be disable that by unchecking following checkbox: Link Checker > Local [old] > Settings > General > Link teaks > Apply custom formatting to broken links.

    Kind Regards,

    Hi

Yes, I’m OK, thank you, and you?

Ok, but what if the link is already tagged as broken, and I fixed the target link?

    Many thanks,
    BaGRoS

    Hi @bagros69

If the link is fixed, that mark/class should be automatically removed. If you recheck link manually it should be removed right away. Worse case scenario, it should be removed upon next automatic check of the link (if you are using local (old) engine).

If it’s not happening, you may need to purge cache on site/server/in browser as the markup of the page may just got “stuck” in cache.

    Kind regards,
    Adam
