I have been working on a site that is being created using a pre-populated child theme of a purchased theme but released I forgot to change the child theme folder to a different name. I have added menus, pages, any all sorts of other things. If I go ahead and change the name of the folder, will it cause any problems?

Not really. It will reset the active theme back to the parent theme, but they you’ll just re-activate your child theme. You may need to re-save the menu locations, but you won’t have to re-build the menus, and you may need to re-add the widgets from the Inactive Widgets section, but you won’t have to re-do their content.

Thank you. Good to know. I will go ahead and get the folder name changed. I will activate the parent theme first. Then activate the child and make the small changes.
