• Hi, I have a question. Will having a lot of registered users slow down my site? I have a website that will have around 10.000 users when I convert entries from a plugin to users (Formidable forms) and will get around 1500 a year. All of them will be pretty much inactive, I just need them being registered for keeping track of entries. Also, I just need advice on how to register them? Contributor, editor? Which takes the least space? Will this slow down my site?

You should not assign too much privileges to users, especially if they are inactive.

Subscribers will have access to their profiles only.
Contributors will be able to write posts
Authors can publish posts without moderation
Editors can do anything but administration

Big count of users will not take much resources, thats just two entries in wp_users and usermeta tables per user.
