    Hi –
I have posts (Custom Posts) that are embedded with shortcodes of the following format.

[AMAZONPRODUCTS asin=”B000FBJDC0″] – for another Amazon Affiliate link generator which I want to ditch once I figure out how this works:)

Will these be automatically converted or should I go into each post and change them to the format
    [AMAZON asin=”B000FBJDC0″……..]
Currently the former point to US only.
Is there a documentation of all the shortcodes and how to use them anywhere?

    Thanks in Advance

Also I just wanted to know if this will generate Shortcodes or Links based on the content of the posts, if so what are the keywords that it will look at?

    Hi,

Thanks for trying the plugin, basically the main options in the shortcode are ‘asin’ which tells the plugin which product or products you wish to display. Then ‘template’ which tells the plugin how to display the product using one of the templates installed or created by you.

You can also include any of the settings available in the backend settings page (see this page) or manually set any of the template keywords (see the Templates admin screen).

Currently the plugin does not support scanning of page content for keywords. However there is a facility to create links based on the other amazon links already inserted in the post.

The arguments are separated by the ‘&’ character so you would put:

    [amazon asin=B000FBJDC0&template=image]

To insert an image of your product.

    Hope this helps,

    Paul
