Will it reduce resized image by WordPress theme?

I have been using WP-smush for a while and it does not reduces the file size on the generated images from mother image. I mean suppose i upload cartoon.jpg. My site will reduce the file to 728×90 and 600×400 for using in thumbnails and header image. Wpsmush smushes the original uploaded file but not the resizes 728×90 or 600×400 image. Will imsanity do that?
