Will mailchimp addresses create wordpress users?

    Hi Jeff,

    No, at the moment the WP User base takes precedence. Every WordPress user will be on your MailChimp list but not every subscriber will be in your WP user base if you have other methods to subscribe available for your visitors.

    Group assignment and the mapping of other fields is definitely on the roadmap – hopefully I’ll be able to add that somewhere in the next few weeks!

    Thanks Jeff for asking…. I want to ‘import’ my MailChimp list into WordPress so I authorize those users access… and don’t want to bug them again about signing up.

    I’ve got the same problem, any progress, is there a way to acheive that.

    most of all, I’d like to have a way to centralize the suscribers list management inside the wordpress backend.

    Maybe there is a work around like manually download mailchimp list once in order to upload it into wordpress users directory ?
