Will NextGEN Gallery (or similar) Work with Images Already on my Blog?

    Hello,

    I am considering using the NextGen Gallery plugin (or possibly
    something similar) for my site but am not sure yet.

    For now I intend to use the built in WordPress Image Uploader
    for my images and have 2 questions related to this if anyone can
    help?

    1. In the ‘Add an Image’ popup window (in WordPress) I want the image
    to link to the ‘Post URL’ so I will select that (I want the individual image to show with the header/logo etc… instead of the default ‘File URL’). Is this ‘ok’ to do rather than linking to the default File URL?

    2. Keeping Question 1 above in mind, if I install a plugin (such as NextGen Gallery) later on will the previously uploaded and linked images
    still work or will I have to go back and manually fix everything to work
    with the plugin?

    I’m pretty new to the photo end of things with WordPress so any help/tips would be appreciated. ??
