will not allow me to remove old watermark

  • My images have both the new and old watermark on them. I am unable to delete them, even when restoring images. Even when deactivating the plug-in, the watermark remains. I don’t want to have to upload all my images again as that will take a long time.

    How do I remove the watermarks so that I can have my images back to normal?

    Hello,

    Deleting Watermark or whole plugin doesn’t remove watermarks applied to the images. You should restore your images before these actions, if you want to remove your Watermarks.

    Did you disable the backup option before the first watermark application (or later)? If not, the restoration should go well.

    If your restoration theoretically went well but you still see watermarked images, please try to refresh the cache.

    You can also see how to manually restore your images.

    If you don’t have the ew-backup directory, you probably had disabled the backup option and you don’t have original images saved to be restored.

    If your ew-backup directory contains just folders and no images, your images have already been restored and it’s probably a cache issue.
