I had to change my password on Pinterest and now it no longer connects to my plugin.

There is a red banner saying “Could not fetch account status. [Reconnect to your Pinterest account]” but clicking it does nothing.

Under catalog overview, there is also an alert saying “reconnect to your Pinterest account” but that is not clickable either.

When I go to the connection tab and try to disconnect, it looks like it’s doing something, redirects me to a welcome page, but when I click to start setting up my account again, it’s still connected with the old settings and errors. Nowhere to reset my password.

I’ve tried deactivting/reactivating the plugin and it still won’t disconnect.

    Using version 1.1.0

    Hello @andreashelley

You can try to go through the onboarding and in the last step after verifying the site you have a choice of Track conversions with the Pinterest tag and the Advertise tab,
if you have more choice there, try to choose the next option and save the settings.

Let us know if it helped you

Again I say I CANNOT get to the last step. I CANNOT GET PAST STEP 2. It won’t let me continue past verifying my site because I get the error.

    I can’t finish onboarding.

I can’t go to the track conversions selection.

I can’t get to any of the menus to erase data or stop sync or ANYTHING.

I can connect or disconnect my pinterest account on step one then that’s it.

    Hello @andreashelley

    Please follow these steps:

    1. Go to Settings tab on “Marketing > Pinterest”
    2. Disable “Enable product sync”
    3. Enable “Erase Plugin Data” and Save
    4. Go to Connection tab on ?”Marketing > Pinterest”
    5. Disconnect your accoun by clicking on “Disconnect” (Skip if you can’t disconnect)
    6. Deactivate and uninstall “Pinterest for WooCommerce”
    — At this point no feed should be present on /wp-content/uploads, no settings on the table wp-options, no Scheduled actions related to Pinterest and no feed registered on Pinterest—
    Also clear all your cache
    7. Install again “Pinterest for WooCommerce”
    8. Restart the Pinterest onboarding
    9. Wait 24hs until Pinterest approve the catalog

Let me know if that helps.

    Hello @andreashelley

The “Erase plugin data” allows you to delete all the settings from you DB when plugin is unistalled. I can give you more technical steps to check.

    after the step 6:
    – on DB you can execute the following query:
    SELECT * FROM wp_options where option_name like “%pinterest_for_woocommerce%”;
no options should be found, if there is any you can delete them
    – on “wp-content/uplodas” you can delete any feed if there is any.
    – Scheduled actions: you can cancel any hook related to group “pinteres-for woocommerce” (if there is any)

After checking this you can continue with step 6.

    Hello @andreashelle,

Unfortunately, the update did not help everyone, and the work to find the issue is still in progress, sorry about that.

    Hello @andreashelley

It is true that in some cases the error still appears, we are working on verification of the error, because it does not look the same for everyone.

    Sorry for the trouble
