• We are an online business and don’t have a phone number. Went through the setup and then couldn’t get any further without providing a phone number to display to customers. No flexibility for businesses that don’t have phone numbers, what if the business is owned by someone deaf who cannot use the phone?

    Thanks for the feedback.
    A phone number is not required to use the plugin itself.
    But it is required by PayPal if you would like to opt-in to the advanced credit and debit card payments to provide advanced credit card features with the PayPal Card Processing.
    This enables credit cards payments without requiring a PayPal account and also provides support for subscriptions and recurring payments.
    This opt-in is initiated by default when you connect from a supported region, but we are revamping the onboarding interface to clarify how to skip this optional step.
