I need a theme created for my site, and can’t do it myself. it needs to blend right in with my site and look exactly like it. I will pay money for a theme. MONEY!!! COLD HARD CASH!!!! I need this theme set up.

Email me at [email protected] with your price. This is a quick way to make 20 bucks or so, and I’m sure someone can do it for me. When we agree, I shall send you my site files, so that you can make a theme that looks just like it.

    Thankyou so much,
    Karan

  • During summer I don’t mind doing some freelance theme designing/tweaking and have the “clients” pay maybe 10-15/hr to WP.

Stuff like this AMAZES me. 240 plus themes, some of which are absolutely spectacular, and you’re not happy with that. Not pleasing some people.

$20 dude, that’s not even worth me coming up with a mock up for you much less actually doing any coding. Tell you what donate that 20 to wordpress and download a theme, play around you’ll be happier for it.

    that’s about 2 pints in Canary Wharf…if you’re lucky…

I agree with khaled there are tons of very good themes (in which I have used and modified) and as someone who dabbles in CSS myslef it’s not that hard to learn.

And $20? WTF that’s an insult to any web designer just donate to WP like suggested.

    Yikes!
Maybe we can just assume that this person has no experience with web design and doesn’t know how difficult it is or what the going rate is. Or perhaps this person isn’t even from the US and doesn’t know the going rate in US dollars. Or perhaps this person just got really, really frustrated while trying to work with the program, and this was a post of sheer desperation. I don’t think s/he meant to insult anybody. IMHO, it’s only an insult if someone knows they’re insulting you… if they don’t know, it’s just ignorance, that’s all.

I’m a professional, but I do pro-bono ?? work for people sometimes just to help them out. Good design does cost, as I know too well (if I had enough money and a good graphics team there’s no knowing what I’d do). If the original poster does want a little change in an existing theme I’d be more than happy to do it for them…
So yeah, no need to get riled at somebody who may not be a tightarse like the previous poster said.

Cool Beans… seems like Blckleprd got him/her-self a designer… ?? and worse comes to worse, I’d be more then happy to work together and create an original theme ??

Sure, I’ll let you know if they ever get back. ??

I started out designing just for myself. I love skins and when I had an MT blog I went to town. I took a few classes, read a lot of books, lurked a lot, looked on the net to find good and bad designs, picked them all apart and am STILL learning.

If it were so easy, everyone would be doing it. Oh, wait. Everyone IS!!

Ha ha ha! To the OP, you should be able to find a designer who will give you a unique look and custom templates for well under $600. I’m not taking any new clients right now, otherwise, I’d pimp my web design site.

BlogMoxie, ElegantWebscapes, Sekimori.com, just google blog designer and you should be able to come up with several.

You know… and I will probably get bashed for chiming in on this but I’m honestly not sure I care…

The OP made a simple request. Granted, I know very well that $20 doesn’t get you much in web design. But why do people feel the need to be so rotten to this person about it? If you are not willing to honor the request, simply don’t post. Why is that so hard? In the time it takes to make fun of or laugh at this person, you could be doing something productive.

Kudos to those that posted something to at least send this person in the right direction for help.

I think this whole discussion started with a misunderstanding of the OP’s request.

“I need a theme created for my site, and can’t do it myself. it needs to blend right in with my site and look exactly like it.”

It should be noted that the OP wasn’t asking for a new ground-up design, but a theme that matches an EXISTING website. Something that in most cases could be relatively easily accomplished with a copy/pasted wrap and some style tweaks.

I don’t agree with you. I modeled my theme from Macromedia website and it still took me forever.

Depends on which way you do it. It’s possible to change a site’s look completely in half an hour. The quality though is what you pay for – nothing more, nothing less.
