Along comes a theme that looks nice, has the features you need and you dive straight in to it. Unfortunately this time it has far too many issues and should never have been released in its present state.

When I realised yet another theme without a blank page template, I then noticed the scollbar disappears in IE and Firefox when you use ctrl+mouse wheel to zoom; you have to restore the screen at top of window to regain control.

Anyways, could not add sub menus to top navigation bar at all, breadcrumbs didn’t work in the header widget area and the breadcrumbs on the line just underneath nav bar 2 could not change the text size as it’s so small I cannot read it.

Having worked around these and other nuances I make my first post only to see the presentation page widgets appearing at the top of a post page.

I tried so hard to keep the theme but I feel it was a complete waste of time for me and if anyone would like to buy me a coffee for time wasted then I would be truly grateful.

  • I’m getting ready to dump this theme, too. Very disappointed. Wasting SO much time trying to get very simple things, especially on the “presentation page.”

which theme have you gone to?? curious…I usually purchase themes for just this reason, decided to go with this “free” theme but guess what, it has cost me a lot more money in wasted time.

I don’t think they even see these posts, they very rarely respond.

I am using the engrave (lite) theme. Almost everything is easily modified using css. To use the social icon slots just access a file in the theme’s admin folder and change one word, for example if you want the designated facebook slot for another use. It took me a day to set it all up that’s all.

There are a couple of things I’m having trouble with modifying but all in all this free version is great. The only real issue I have is trying to place a full-width image in a container after the header and before the content, for the life of me I cannot get the image to be responsive. If I can figure it out then ‘ll probably stick with the theme and even upgrade.
