    Hi there – I want to switch to your plugin (currently using WooCommerce PayPal Powered by Braintree Payment Gateway), but I am wondering if my existing subscribers will transfer and get charged appropriately. Is the payment information stored with Braintree so I don’t need to worry about switching between plugins? Or is the information stored with the plugin?

    I want to make sure that my weekly subscribers don’t have to submit their payment information again. Also do I need to do anything to make sure the subscription orders transfers to your plugin?

    hi Veggiebunches,

    I assume you are using WooCommerce Subscriptions? If so this won’t be possible unless you write a program to migrate the data. Whenever a subscription is created by WooCommerce Subscriptions, the payment gateway name is saved to the subscription in the WordPress database. This way, when the subscription payment is processed, the correct plugin is called to process the payment. All your current subscriptions are using the PayPal Powered by Braintree plugin name, so there is no way to tell the WooCommerce Subscriptions to process the payment with our plugin.

    You option is to have a program written that will translate the information on the subscription from the PayPal Braintree plugin to ours and then make sure all of the meta_key’s for the subscriptions are translated correctly.

    Thanks for your response! I sent you an email regarding the custom code. I’m wondering how long it will take & how much it would cost to have someone write it. I’m a bit worried about it transferring.
