• Can this plugin be set to delete all files on wordpress server? So all the media files will be hosted only on cloudflare.

    The purpose is to save server resources. Because object storage is usually much more cheaper than regular hosting.

    @fodisery,

    At the moment, it’s not possible to remove absolutely all files. You can, however, remove the generated image sizes for newly uploaded media. Originals will always stay on the server (for now). Keeping the original gives you an option to roll-back in case something goes wrong.

    Hi @vanyukov,
    first off all nice plugin, thank you very much for that!

    Also wanted to ask if there is a roadmap when the feature of offloading the images completely is planned? Would be a great Feature which makes Media Hosting completely independent from the Application itself…

    There is a similar option at the WP Offload Media Plugin, which is called “Remove Local Media”.

    Best Regards Dennis

    Hi @denjo,

    I’m finishing up the auto resize feature, maybe I’ll have that ready by the end of this week. And I can start on this one after. But I need to figure out some technical aspects of how this can work. There’s no “bucket” system, no “search” API with Cloudflare Images. This adds more complexity in dealing with various edge cases, compared to solutions that work with Amazon S3, for example. I guess, I’ll need to figure it out as I go

    Best regards,
    Anton
