    Hi there,

I’m looking for a solution that will replace strings within a site on a multisite network. i.e. and not effect the other sites around it.

Has the plugin been tested on a WordPress Network install?

An example of my use is:
If I clone an existing site and create a new one, then changes references to the old domain name and change it to the new domain name.

    Is this possible?

    thanks for your help

    Paul

The plugin works also on a multisite install, it search/replace in all! tables of the database. Is it not necessary, that you active as network plugin, only in one site is enough. BUT please create a backup, it is a hard change on the database, no undo. Use also the search before you use the replace option and check the point there will be replace.

    Thanks Frank.

Is it possible to only isolate the instances within a single site?

Lets say I have cloned mydomain1.com to mydomain2.com.
and this only changes the url.
I then want to go into mydomain2.com and change all references to mydomain1.com to mydomain2.com – for example in the content text, widget areas text.

If I try to make this change inside of mydomain2.com is it possible to preserve the references inside of mydomain1.com?

    thanks again

No, you can’t search/replace on a instance of the network.
But the tool https://github.com/interconnectit/Search-Replace-DB can this, works fine.

    Thanks Frank.

That certainly looks the goods. I just tested and it should fit my needs.
