When I attempt to view my website on Edge I get a message from Microsoft Defender SmartScreen indicating “Unsafe Website” because of this file:

    https://www.mydomain.com/wp-content/plugins/complianz-gdpr/assets/video/youtube-placeholder.mp4?cmplz=1

I’m confident that there isn’t an issue with malware and reported as safe.

The website is configured to block YouTube cookies from loading on initial page view. Any suggestions as to how this can be resolved?

It is probably an unrelated issue, but on Opera only I get a problem that when I play an embedded YouTube video on the same site, view it on full screen, and then escape, my computer freezes.

    Thanks

Another website that has embedded YouTube videos together with the Complianz plugin is reporting the same problem on Edge, with the equivalent Complianz file.

    Hi @alarch,

This is indeed a false positive, and no other browser considers this unsafe, as they shouldn’t.

Regarding your Opera issue, this seems an issue with your browser. If you’re able to share your URL, we can check on Opera as well.

For the above issue, we will have a look at why this might happen. We will get back to you soon. regards Aert

As an extension; For Edge, you can go to the three dots in the right, top-hand corner (settings) and go to Help & Feedback. Here you can click “Report site as safe.” This will make sure the Edge Defender has another look and will white list the URL.

    regards Aert

    Hi Aert

I’m very confident that there aren’t any issues with the plugin, but it obviously is a concern that problems are being flagged up incorrectly.

I’ve submitted Feedback reporting the website as safe. Hopefully the site and code in general will be whitelisted.
