Up until recently I had a wordpress.com weblog and I’ve worked with Windows Live Writer als a blog cli?nt. I am now in the process of starting a website with www.ads-software.com and I’ve tried to get WLW working wit that site also. But being a newbie I don’t understand which path to my site is the correct one. The WLW install asks voor <hostname> and <wp path> . It is the wp path part that is bugging me. (Site is hosted by third party and WP version is 2.9.)
Anyone any good suggestions on this? Thanks.

I’ve worked this one out. Problem solved

I am now having issues using WP 2.9 with Live Writer. I really like using Live Writer as my authoring client but am now having some issues posting.

When I post from LW everything looks really good and then the post looks like so:

    a href=”https://2genx.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/mssharepoint2007.gif”img style=”border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px” title=”mssharepoint 2007″ border=”0″ alt=”mssharepoint 2007″ src=”https://2genx.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/mssharepoint2007_thumb.gif” width=”240″ height=”153″ //a TEST

    Any ideas???

Here is what the contents of the post looks like:

    a href=”https://2genx.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/mssharepoint2007.gif”img style=”border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px” title=”mssharepoint 2007″ border=”0″ alt=”mssharepoint 2007″ src=”https://2genx.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/mssharepoint2007_thumb.gif” width=”240″ height=”153″ //a TEST

You can see the post here: https://2genx.com/?p=3

@dckidd The link takes me to a storefront, not a blog … but in any case it looks like that’s part of the Live Writer test post that it automatically creates on setup (particularly since it’s p=3 …) I’d recommend deleting that post and trying to post again. Let us know if it works.
