Windows Live Writer Network Connection Error

  • I suddenly am unable to use Windows Live Writer despite not changing anything. I did just upgrade to WP 3.0.1, but that was after the WLW error occurred. (I thought that might help the problem.)

    When attempting to publish a post in WLW, I get the following error:

    An unexpected error has occurred while attempting to log in:

    Network Connection Error – Error attempting to connect to blog at:

    https://www.giveawayonethingaday.com/xmlrpc.php

    Unable to connect to the remove server

    I am not sure what could have changed. I tried adding my blog again to WLW, but it couldn’t even connect during the setup process.
