• Tried downloading template 1844 and the computer refused to unzip it — first time I’ve ever seen a security warning about such an item. Based on content, potential danger to computer.

    What gives?

    Thanks!

  • wtf is template 1844? You are going to need to provide a little more info than that? How about a link to where you are getting this file?

If you are talking about this:
    https://www.myartsdesire.com/template_details.asp?ItemNo=1844

    Why are you asking here?

    1. thats NOT a wordpress theme.
    2. That site has nothing to do with this support forum
    3. They sell their products and ought to be supporting them.

Contact them, and ask what the deal is.

If you’re asking about something else, please feel free to correct me.

I’d recommend looking for a different theme if my computer started spitting potential danger messages at me. It’s very likely that the zip you downloaded contained a virus, or something equally unpleasant.

Take it easy, whooami. People come here for help, let’s help them learn how to get the help they need, not drive them away. And if you’re going to guess what s/he’s talking about, why guess so far from the WP track?

It’s more likely the theme is RockPink, which is #1844 from https://themes.wordpress.net.

VisualBlip, is that correct? I just tried it, downloaded and unzipped no problem. I use 7-zip which might be better than whatever is built into windows. (Well, it is definitely better in a lot of ways, but I mean maybe it’s not quite so overprotective).

If that’s not the theme you tried, give us some more details and we’ll see what we can do.

I’m not sure who’s in charge of the themes.wordpress.net site, but there isn’t any direct support here in this forum for it….and every theme designer is really responsible for his or her own projects. That said, most folks here will do what they can to help, if you give enough details for us to figure out what you need.
