Wishlist Member: Checkbox ok, not processing onto subscriber list?

    I’ve got everything set up in the registration form, the checkbox appears as expected, but once the user signs up, Mailchimp never adds them to the subscriber list. Any thoughts where I could be going wrong? Here is what the registration form looks like in Wishlist Member:

    Appears as:
Newsletter	(checkbox) Yes, please send me updates!

Label: Newsletter
Name: _input_type_checkbox_name_mc4wp_try_subscribe_value_1_
Default: 1
Items:    1:Yes, please send me updates!

    Hi there,

    I don’t see the checkbox appearing in the form? I have no experience using Wishlish Member but as long as there is a checkbox present with name attribute mc4wp-try-subscribe and value 1 it should work as expected.

    Could you add the checkbox so I can take a look?

    Ah, I think I know what you did. You copied the <input type="checkbox" name=".... part from the FAQ and pasted it in the name field of Wishlisht Member.

    Change the name to mc4wp-try-subscribe. That should do!

    Thanks for the quick response Danny!

    Unfortunately it does not seem to have solved the problem – the test registration never shows up on my list in Mailchimp.

    I have added the checkbox back into the registration form so you can take a look, thanks for the help!

    Hi there,

    The name should be mc4wp-try-subscribe with dashes instead of underscores.

    The value should be 1 instead of Yes, please send me Sacred Story Institute updates!.

    Fixing those 2 issues will get it to work. ??

    PS. In the next update I will make the plugin accept ANY value attribute, I reckon the plugin is a bit too strict now.
