    Hi,

    I’ve used EmbedPress to embed Wistia videos on a site I help with for quite a while now, and just recently, the videos started showing up with a light blue hue (#00adef) instead of the darker blue that they’re set to use within Wistia itself (see https://davishtv.wistia.com/medias/ulu7aobt1q).

    I am completely baffled by this and can’t find any setting or explanation as to why the behavior would have changed. Since the color is still set correctly in Wistia itself, though, I’m wondering if EmbedPress could be causing this change somehow?

    When I look at the actual page code for that area of the page, I can see where the change is happening:

    <div class="embedpress-wrapper ose-wistia ose-uid-5ac1b2fe9f205b4b2c86c97a9e50f914 responsive"><script src="https://fast.wistia.com/assets/external/E-v1.js" async></script><script>window.pp_embed_wistia_labels = {"watch_from_beginning":"Watch from the beginning","skip_to_where_you_left_off":"Skip to where you left off","you_have_watched_it_before":"It looks like you've watched<br \/>part of this video before!"};</script>
    <script>window._wq = window._wq || []; _wq.push({"r4c": {"videoFoam":true,"fullscreenButton":true,"smallPlayButton":true,"autoPlay":false,"playerColor":"#00adef","focus":false,"plugin":{"dimthelights":{"src":"https:\/\/htv.buzz\/wp-content\/plugins\/embedpress\/EmbedPress\/Includes\/assets\/js\/wistia\/min\/dimthelights.min.js","autoDim":false}}}});</script>
    <div id="wistia_r4cb765utp" class="wistia_embed wistia_async_r4cb765utp" style="width:640px; height:360px;"></div>
    </div>

    Do you know if EmbedPress would be responsible for adding in that “playerColor” variable, and if so, how I could get it to stop (or to start using the color we need instead of that #00adef value)?

    Thank you.

    Hi @wpraph,

    Hope you’re doing well. Wistia has color control in settings, Please check this out: https://d.pr/i/cSh7p8

    Please try color changing from wistia settings, if it’s not working please try embedding again after clearing browser cache.

    Let me know how it goes.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the quick response, Tushar! That absolutely did the trick. What’s strange is that we had never touched that setting before — and it was set to an entirely different color than the one that was being shown on the site now, even — but updating it to the correct hue got things back the way they’re supposed to (and used to) be.

    Really appreciate the assistance.
