• I am just starting to use this and would like to import WP SMTP settings as offered in the wizard since you are no longer updating WP SMTP plugin it appears. But I immediately get an error.

This is my dev site, and my emails work fine with WP SMTP plugin. I have tried it both with the WP SMTP plugin activated and deactivated, same error.

  • Can you clarify if you are trying to import WP SMTP plugin settings into Post SMTP plugin?
If so, not sure you can do that. Post SMTP has been upgraded and improved on since the days of WP SMTP.
The current Post SMTP import/export works between itself (i.e. export from Post SMTP, import into Post SMTP).

If you are trying to import WP SMTP settings into another installation of WP SMTP, you’ll be better off posting that question in the WP SMTP forum (https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/wp-smtp/)

Might be quicker manually transferring the settings from your old WP SMTP set-up into your new Post SMTP set-up if indeed, that is what you are trying to do.

Yes, I am using the Setup Wizard in Post SMTP to import from WP SMTP, that is the option on the first page of the setup wizard. Screenshot below.

The problem is I can’t find my key from 3 years ago when I set this up, and it’s not visible in WP SMTP just dots. And doing anything in Amazon SES is so confusing, it took me forever the first time.. I wouldn’t do this but I had a hack and I’m getting rid of any plugins that aren’t being updated and it doesn’t look like WP SMTP is any longer.

@eftcolumbus checking, I will update soon.
