Wonderful, Effective, Svelt
-
I love Autoptimize. It is our go-to solution to slam JavaScript to the footer when attempting to do this with W3TC breaks stuff. The ‘optimize HTML’ option is also more refined than W3TC’s is. The new ‘inline and defer CSS’ option looks promising and I’m looking forward to its evolution.
Some suggestions for Frank:
1.) Dashboard option to nonetheless combine files that have been excluded from full optimization.
2.) Dashboard option to create more than one combined .js/CSS file
3.) Dashboard option to place .js file(s) after opening <body>
4.) Dashboard option to async and dashboard option to defer specific .js file(s), even if excluded from full optimization and/or combination
5.) Option to purge select files
6.) Make your own ‘detect critical CSS’ tool that automagically populates the newly added in-line CSS field. I imagine this can be added to the plugin, itself, with little if any bloat/effect on the front end.Cheers, Mate! Good stuff. ??
