Wonderful plugin – just wish it did the wp-login-php
-
I have been using Proxy-Vpn-Blocker for many months now and i have never had a issue during that time. The plugin has no visible performance overhead that i have seen and proxycheck.io has the best database of compromised and suspect servers that i have seen so far.
The service is very accurate and i have never had any complaints from users since i started running the plugin. So its a lovely plugin to use and something that has made a very noticeable effect on my security logs.
My only feature requests would be to provide a easy way of running the plugin on the wp-login-php page (just to block compromised servers, to mitigate the thousands of password guess’s each day) and potentially even providing the ability to have a different rule for posts (block VPN / Proxy / compromised servers) to discourage trolls.
T think that the small fee that proxycheck.io charges for the paid service is really good value which makes using it easy if you need the paid for service. But with the caching that the plugin does its number of queries really reduce when dealing with script kiddies and their compromised servers, though it would be nice to be able to set the cache to a few days.
So an awesome plugin for keeping the helping to keep the problematic elements off your site.
