Wonderful theme – big time saver and helpful if you don’t code in php!

  • I’ve been using Generate Press for some time. I recently bought the Premium version – $49.95.

    I’ve been a web developer/designer for about 20 years and often use basic WP Themes and modify them. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go the route of theme settings, rather than CSS. After buying this theme and using it as a starting point for a few sites, I’ve changed my mind. It’s so quick to set up the basic layout (even in the free version) and there are enough options to completely customise it. I’ve used some of these and then added my own CSS.

    Since buying the Premium version, I was advised by the support team to use GenerateBlocks (developed by GeneratePress) as a solution to layouts I needed. This plugin (free) has been a game changer for me – it’s done everything I needed. Plus, I’ve been able to add php functions via the front-end (with basic php knowledge) and also do things like set general blog settings, but customise the layout for a particular blog section.

    I’ve also been able to train my clients to use the blocks (with some caution) without having to use custom posts.

    The tech support is excellent! I’ve got quick and helpful answers, and there’s lots of info on the support forum.

    Just a fantastic solution all-round!
