Won't Back Up

  • After figuring out the database paths for Godaddy and getting green ready to back up, the first backup didn’t backup correctly and subsequent attempts resulted in “could not back up the database” despite the plugin seeing all the tables in the database. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find any troubleshooting info via Google and my password doesn’t have a $ character as one thread suggests may be the problem. This plugin is no longer supported by the author so I removed it after tinkering with it a couple hours.

  • Hello jpinches, I have the plugin running on WordPress 3.6 beta 4 without any problems. My host is justhost which is a sister company of blugehost.

    Have you tried to read any thread here where the user is running WordPress in Godaddy?

    Yes I did read those posts and was able to get the plugin to go green. But the issues persisted as I described.
