Won’t give any info on Avada theme

  • When testing the Avada (Fusion Builder) Theme – takes about 30 seconds and then returns a page with the Title (Theme Check), the theme selector drop-down w/”Check it!” button, and then the rest of the screen is blank. Works great with other installed themes (Twenty Fifteen, 2016 & 2017). Checking “Suppress INFO” makes no difference. I have little access to any logs, so cannot properly troubleshoot.

    I don’t really like (or more like “really don’t like”) the Avada theme, and the “Fusion Builder” is an idea gone badly awry. But, it’s what the previous dev put up for this client, and they feel stuck with it.

    Not sure anything can be done to fix this, and I consider it the ultimate “theme fail” and not a failure of Theme Check!

    If the theme is particularly large or complicated, then the scan process may take longer than 30 seconds. In which case you need to increase the PHP timeout value to allow it to run longer than 30 seconds.

    Realistically, theme check should not be run on your live site, but on a development machine. Preferably a local installation, where you have access to change php’s timeout and memory constraints.
