• I have a small list of links (I use & Recommend)in the sidebar on my blog and it used to show banners for each link. I just noticed that the images don’t show anymore. I’m using the default Links widget and images is still check and the URLs for the images in my Links list are correct. I’ve tried removing and re-adding. I can get descriptions but not images. Is there a way to get them back, please?

-Try deactivating ALL plugins (yes, all) temporarily to narrow down the problem. If the problem goes away, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s). If you can’t get into your admin dashboard, try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems (because the hooks remain unless plugins completely removed or some plugins stick around in cached files. So by renaming the folder, you break them and force them inactive).

But I haven’t added or changed any plugins in at least a year. Could plugins that I haven’t touched since first activating them a year ago suddenly cause problems with a default widget that was working?
