• I use Elementor Pro Form and the plugin won`t work. Known spammers such as Eric Jones and James Milo will pass it through the form like a knife through butter. What else is there to stop them?

    Hi @jppl ,

Thanks for the review and sorry for that.

Those types of spam are obvious ones as you pointed out. We stop millions of them every month but there could a reason why they did go though. You can confirm this by copying the message and testing it on our dashboard.

There could you a few reasons why they were not filtered:

    • Your account reached its 40 spam checks limit. After this, you may get spam.
    • Misconfiguration. This is common as the Sensitivity Level , API key source, Spam protection for Elementor form settings need to correctly configured.
    • A day ago we fixed a bug in removal of sensitive data from the content field that caused false negatives.

If you reconsider giving OOPSpam another chance, please reach out to the support ([email protected]) and we will look into it together. We’re happy to help!

Here is an example of Eric’s spam and it gets a maximum spam score.

    Cheers,
    – Mike

Thank you for your reply. I enabled OOPSpam (Sensitivity 2), reCapture V3 and Honeypot and it still goes through. Eric Jones and Milo…(someone) cannot be stopped IMO. All 3 cannot do it, so who can?

I use a free OOSPam account and API is connected. It is interesting that it shows me 0/0 filtering available and I just installed it.

Thanks for getting back to us.

It’s important to set the Sensitivity Level to 3. This must be reason why they went through. Make sure to update the plugin to the latest version too.

Also did you enable spam protection for Elementor Forms in the plugin setting?

The usage number is update with each submission that is why it’s 0/0. Once you get your first submission (spam or not), the usage number should be updated.

You can test your form with the blocked emails and message examples from our documentation to make sure everything ok.

    Hi @jppl,

Are you willing to give the plugin another try?

    Thanks
