Won’t update

Can you please try going to your WP admin dashboard > Dashboard (sidebar) > Updates, check for updates, and trying to update the plugin from there? Does it then update to v10.1.3 as expected?

no luck there. tried that and till get a message ‘error failed to updated’.

Hi this is still not working. I’ve tried downloading the plugin manually and uploading the file. The update still fails with an error message ‘Download failed. Unauthorised.’

We are not sure why the update is failing on your site. The newest version of Yoast is v11. To resolve the issue we suggest using FTP to update the plugin manually. This guide explains more: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/#ftp.

When you do that, you should NOT be getting any update notifications (as you would have v11 on your site, the newest one).

Can you please confirm that if you put v11 on your site using FTP you no longer get any notifications to update?
