Theme customizer – Woocomerce – Product Catalog –

    It defaults to Products

I try to set to show categories and click publish.

No change is made at https://pianowizardacademy.com/shop/ (still showing products)

I go back to theme customizer and it’s back to Products

    Anyone know what’s wrong?

  • Hi @pwizard,

    Thank you for reaching out.

I understand you’re having trouble setting your shop page to display product categories, is that correct?

In this case, it is possible your changes are not getting saved correctly. If you’re using any caching plugins, I recommend you purge any cache from the plugin and try again. You can also try making the changes on a different browser to see if the issue persists.

Should it persists, please also ask your host to purge any server side cache and try again.

Let us know if this helps.

I have already done that. I can make changes to everthing else in the theme customizer. The only thing I cannot do it set my shop to show categories.

    Hi again @pwizard,

This is quite unusual if all other settings are saving correctly. In that case, I’d like to understand your site properly. Please share with us your System Status Report, which you can find via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support.

Looking forward to assisting you further.

Seems to be a problem with DIVI theme. I switched to a default WP theme, then was able to correct the categories and save it. Changes remained when I switched back to DIVI.

    Wierd, but good now.

    Thanks

    Hi @pwizard,

Glad to hear it – thanks for letting us know!

I’ll recommend reaching out to the DIVI theme support so that they can be able to address the issue from their end.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

    All the best.
