Woo 3 – Billing state error

    Looks like the update to Woo 3.0 has broken the plugin. On Checkout the error “BILLING STATE IS A REQUIRED FIELD.” has appeared but I have no changes have been made to the plugin settings since updating Woo.

  • Hi @alan555, thanks for raising this, I’ll be going through and confirming WC 3.0 compatibility today/tomorrow and will push an urgent minor Plugin release to resolve this.

    I’ll be looking at this tomorrow, got most of the other Plugins cleared today.

    State field continues to have trouble.

    @visser I have the same problem. State should follow WC localization…

    Hi @sundaydriverwp, an update was pushed 2 days ago but it didn’t resolve this state required issue.

    What’s happening re: “State is a required field” is if the default Billing Country has a State when the Checkout screen is loaded then the State field is shown, however if the Billing Country is changed to a country without a State it is still required. I’m working on this but the template code is foreign to me (it’s not my code) so any help would be appreciated.

    Localisation is another question, do we use our own or WooCommerce?

    FYI: We’re using Fortuna Theme, but not sure it is related at all
