Woo adding 1 s to Server Response Time

Hi,
Has anyone had issues with Woo and Server Response Time, it seems if I disable Woo the Server Response Time falls back to acceptable speed for Google Page Speed. If I turn Woo on the Response Time increases by 1 second.
Anyone have any suggestions how to overcome this?
