Good day, We are having problems with amp clashing with the woocomerce “add to cart” back end.

After selecting the style variations the backend registers those attributes selected. A wheel would normally appear as it does in desktop mode.

Add to cart is selected in AMP. An advisory “Submitting….} is seen below the add to cart icon. The latter indicates that there is a clash with the cart. Example page https://oceanswardrobe.xen.co.za/product/bathing-suit-monokini-jolene/?amp . Maybe if your team could try a buy using above in amp and non amp. All that is required for non amp is to remove ….?amp .

This has been a long standing problem [ some 3 years] with woo and AMP. I had stopped using amp until a few days ago. I would have imagined that the plugin problem would have been sorted by now.

    Hello @oceanswardrobe1

WooCommerce is not yet fully compatible, but it can be configured to work at a basic level.

    1) I will suggest disabling AMP on cart and checkout pages

    2) Update cart behavior settings to redirect on adding a product in cart and disabling Ajax add to cart check on from Archive.

Additionally, I will suggest using the AMP Enhancer plugin, it can help you in addressing some Incompatibilities in WoCommerce.

    We hope this helps!

Super thank you. To be sure you advise to disable amp on all product pages? The redirect to cart Ajax is already unchecked.

Will try the enhancer as before but that clashed with woo causing other problems like site failure. I feel that instead of work around try develop the plugin to not clash with woo cart.

    Hello @oceanswardrobe1

AMP is a Web Component Framework, and AMP just facilitates a way to convert your website’s HTML into an AMP page.

AMP plugin helps convert all default WordPress features into AMP pages.

We can’t accommodate compatibility for other plugins as there are many plugins in the WordPress repo, In that case, the plugin size will grow also the complexity will grow as we need to maintain compatibility with another plugin when the push new features, fix bugs etc.

So it will be the more feasible solution that other plugins like WooCommerce make their code AMP Compatible.
