Woo commerce Downloaded Product Files either empty or corrupt.

    I am having a weird issue with downloadable files, no matter if zipped, rar’d or plain (.xps,.docx,ect.) the file that is downloaded by the customer comes out either blank or corrupted if achieved.

    With that being said, i have compared the server copy source and that file seems to be 100%.

    Why is the source file correct and good and yet the file downloaded by the customer is bad or corrupt? I was under the impression that when downloaded the download is pulled directly from the server with no other addition modifactions, compression, ect?

  • I would also love to know the answer to this. I’m sourcing files stored in Dropbox but everything else is standard.

    If a plugin/theme puts out a notice during download, the download will be corrupted.

    Checked your server error log?

    If you switch to ‘redirect’ instead of force, the downloads won’t corrupt. They won’t be protected however.
