Are you allowing backorders? Did you also manually decrease stock in the order admin maybe?

Also, I’d recommend updating WooCommerce to the latest version.

Yes i`m in admin while using the store function. Is it the error i got if i use the same username? I disabled the backorders in all items.

You should see something like this in your orders that shows the stock decreasing. Would you be able to take a screen shot of yours and post it here?

I saw a note that my item become -100 from 0, but i set the number to 100 in item properties. I use a simple product and enable the stock management.

How many of that product did you purchase in the order?

You may have another extension causing a conflict with the stock functions.

Try temporarily switching back to the WordPress Twenty Sixteen Theme, or Storefront, and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce. If that resolves the issue, then slowly re-enable features until you find the one that’s causing the conflict.

I purchase at least 80 or 70% of the items. I try to look for other extensions or plugins. I disabled theme but still getting this error.

Hello, have you found a solution?

Same here. Anyone found a solution? Stock is f.i at 5, when ordering 3 the stock update is from 0 to -3.. Disabled all woocommerce related plugins and the theme. Issue still there.

Same here – negative stock amounts with backorders turned off. Looks like it’s a bug discussed here: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/12467
The WooCommerce version 4.0 milestone looks like too long of a wait for such a critical bug.

    Anyone find a fix yet?

Hi Any update with this issue, I just have the same issue now. After successful purchase stock become negative value.

Example: Stock before purchase is 100, after successful purchase of 5 qty the stock level become -5.
