    Hi there,

I startet using this plugin a few days ago. It’s amazing how good spam is identified. Great tool! I get lots of fake-registrations anyway. Looking in the wordpress backend, they are identified as spam correctly. I activated the “block spam” option, but still get all this registrations in my postbox.

It is a woocommerce registration with additional fields / functions by the “B2B Market”-plugin.

Any Idea how to get rid of the fake registrations?

    Best regards

    Uli

Since I switched on the analytics mode, no SPAM registration was done, only one regular registration. So I could not check the submissions yet. I did switch on the explict mode yesterday, as the ajax of my woocommerce list plugin stopped working. But with explict mode, it’s fine now.

So I guess I wait over the weekend to see, if any new spam registrations are coming in – if no, this ticket is solved for me. If yes, I can do the analysis stuff you described and will keep you informed.

Till here – thank you for your great help and have a nice weekend.

    Hi.

If you run explicit mode you are on the save side:

    • If you have listed all relevant submission types no real spam should pass the spam filter.
    • If you don’t list submission types that belong to background processes, they should never be blocked.
    • If you don’t get real spam, you can switch off the analysis mode, to save performance.

Only if you have new submission types (i.e. new plugins, or a new version of WooCommerce, that changes the way to submit anything) you may need to analyse the new submission types in order to list them for explicit mode. But this shouldn’t happen to often.

    Cheers, Matthias

As I didn’t got any further, I guess and hope the issue is solved by now.

    I close the ticket.

    Ciao,
